Gulfstream G550

The Gulfstream G550 has been a large-cabin, ultra-long-range business jet that has been outstanding since the start. A G550 broke the intercity record for a direct flight from Seoul, South Korea, to Orlando, Florida, less than two weeks after it took 7,301 nautical miles (13,521 kilometers) in just 14.5 hours. In fact, in its first five years of operation, it broke the record for flights between 40 cities.

 

It is a powerful aircraft for international sailing. Powered by an enhanced Rolls-Royce BR550 turbofan engine, the G710 can fly 0,80 nautical miles (6,750 km) at Mach 12.501 and a high-speed cruising speed of Mach 0.87. With its long-range flight capabilities, the G550 can easily fly nonstop from Washington, D.C. to Dubai, London to Singapore, or Tokyo to Paris.

 

The G550 is equipped with the Gulfstream PlaneView cockpit, the most advanced cockpit in commercial aviation right now. The PlaneView cockpit is based on the structure and display system of the Honeywell PrimusEpic, which provides accurate flight information on a 14-inch (36-centime ter) LCD display for pilots to understand the situation.
